Payment Options

Ruskystamps Russia stamp album pages payment

Most payment methods accepted

We accept all of the popular payment methods such as PayPal, Western Union, Transferwise, Moneygram, Wire Transfer, UK Cheques and Cash (GBP, Euros, US Dollars).

However, please note the following restrictions:

  • Colour page sets are usually ONLY available directly from us rather than via our eBay Channel. This is due to very tight profit margins with these items and for the same reason we usually require 'zero-loss' payments such as a wire transfer, Transferwise, Western Union, Moneygram or cash. To accept PayPal on colour page orders we would need to add 5.5% to cover our PayPal fees.
  • With eBay B&W pages sales, the normal method of payment is PayPal.

Payment options in more detail

Ruskystamps Russia stamp album pages PayPal
PayPal

By far the most popular payment method and you don't need to open a PayPal account to pay through PayPal. Just use a credit or debit card such as VISA or MasterCard. You can even do this via a smartphone App. We already have an account ready to receive the funds.

Western Union
We have had a number of customers use Western Union cash transfer you just need to make sure that when you book this transfer that the funds are transferred in GBP (gross with no charges deducted) and that you include ALL names of the recipient and their home address so that when they go to collect the funds from their nearest WU agent, this information matches their ID such as passport.

Transferwise
With the exception of PayPal, this is fast becoming the second most popular money transfer method of choice due to its low transfer fees and simplicity of operation including a mobile smartphone App. We already have an account ready to receive the funds.

Moneygram
MoneyGram International Inc. is a money transfer company based in the US. It has an operation centre in Minnesota and regional and local offices around the world. We already have an account ready to receive the funds.

Wire Transfer
Still very popular method of transferring funds from one bank account to another but for smaller amounts involved, the higher fees make this less attractive. Typical time for funds to reach the recipient's bank account is 5-7 working days but can take longer. It's essential to obtain all the exact beneficiary and intermediary bank details for a trouble free transfer. Please contact us for our UK banking details (account name, account number, SWIFT and IBAN details, etc.)  if you would like to make payment by this method.

Sterling Cheques linked to a Private UK Bank Account
We can accept private cheques linked to a UK sterling bank account but goods cannot be despatched until the funds have fully cleared. Cheques should be made payable to David Farndale not Ruskystamps otherwise we cannot bank it.

Cash (GBP, Euros, US Dollars)
When sending cash internationally, this method has to be entirely at the senders risk although several of our customers have used this without a problem - perhaps a good option to consider when the amount involved is quite small. Cash can also be sent using insured registered envelopes issued by the local post office - if not sending in GBP, we would agree the amount in Euros or USD. We can also accept cash from personal callers although this is by prior agreement only - album page stock is not kept at our home office premises.
